The ergonomical cabinet placement that is ideal for your kitchen is determined by the body height of the person that works primarily in the kitchen. That person's height determines the ideal height placement of all cabinets, worktops and appliances. The kitchen design has to reflect the functionality of the work flow.

  • Store heavy objects only below your shoulder height to avoid placing too much strain on your back.
  • Avoid strenuous movements or postures. Depending on the fitness of a person these could be standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, bending or stretching
  • please know that the maximum height a person should reach for is 35 cm above his body height
  • In order to avoid injuries to your head use lift-up- or bi-fold- doors for your wall cabinets.
